I had originally tried to reboot my phone by just doing a restart and that did not get the apps to go away. But what DID work is to totally power down, and then turn back on the phone. So thanks for the input!

Thanks for the info TBDreamer! And SHO95, I am a longtime seidio and verizon customer, and have had several cases from both. A crap verizon case is only $5 less. Maybe a verizon case looks better, but the seidio active cases protect the hell out of your phone and don't make it too much...

I don't have 4g in my area so my phone is constantly in 3g which I'm sure makes a huge difference in battery life.
