For those with cracks...just got the Ringke slim case in today, gorgeous case/good fit, covers up the crack nicely..just a thought for $8. Also, replacement front panels can be found on ebay if you/someone you know want's to just change it out....in case LG never responds.

I have the problem, babied my phone since it was new, case on the same day, never dropped it...I started noticing the headphone jack causing issues first....plug in any set of headphones and the songs would change/pause if you moved or wiggled it...so I looked and there was the hairline crack...

For Verizon there is an app labeled "Emergency alerts" triangular brownish looking app, go there to disable the alerts.
