This is what I was going to suggest as well. If you don't mind the extra expense, Eye-fi is probably the easiest way unless the 5DIII takes regular sized SD cards. In that case, you could just get an adapter.

I think I average around 3ish hours of screen on time and 18 hours total by the time I go to bed at night, and I normally have at least 15% left. I don't like running batteries all the way to 1%, though, so I almost never let it get lower than 15%.
