This is actually beyond stupid. People love lecturing others without even reading the posts.

I guess it doesn't matter if it says "Google" on the device - after years and years of testing HTC manufactured devices, one thing is obvious for me now: don't ever buy anything from HTC. Never. My unit is also having a severe greenish yellow tint on 75% of the screen.

Same problems here on the smaller Pixel with 128 in black. Camera is awesome, but these lens flares are ridiculous. I never had this problem with any phone camera before, neither on any of my prof. DSLR equip.

They look perfectly fine to me. Background detail (trees) is obviously not that great. But this is a phone, not a DSLR.

Yes, I was offended by "Oh man, thank baby Jesus that you joined just this month to enlighten us all. HINT: Maybe wait more than 6 posts deep to start calling people and their ideas "ridiculous stupidity". Just an idea." :)

Oh, so in a nutshell: just the number of posts gives validity to my point. That's really funny. I've been on XDA since 2007 and not a total newb. And stating that the ONE is worse to use outdoors compared to the S4 indicates that the person writing it was either paid for that, was trolling or...

It's working better than the normal auto brightness in terms of regulating brightness. It does not fix the S4's display in bright sunlight :)

Activating Auto Brightness on the S4 does indeed provide more than maximum brightness in some situations, e.g. outside in the sun. But it's a rather marginal increase. I have both devices next to me and it's nothing short of ridiculous stupidity (sry) to say that the S4 is more easily visible...

It's a common problem and the fast boot option has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Re: HTC One Camera Pictures : Show us what you got :D Depends on what device you're looking at them. Various cameras produce nice images at this picture sizes. That's why the ONE is an absolutely superb social media camera. But @ FULL HD or original size, the pictures truly lack details.
