I mainly use Waze but it's the same problem in Google maps as well.

The 4.4.4 update from AT&T was forced onto my phone in the early morning hours while it charged. I was putting it off until I heard things about it by selecting "remind me later". The update forced installed this weekend, without any action taken on my part. Now the GPS on my phone won't hold...
