Post homescreen screenshots taken on your Samsung Note 8!

Not my picture sadly - never seen one either outside of road kill.

    Bluetooth disabling vibration mode?

I think I found the problem: if I go into Settings > Sounds and vibration > Volume, I can set everything to 0 but media, and if I change media, it changes all of the other volumes as well... So anytime I adjust the media volume, I'm turning it off of vibration mode... I have my setting for...

    Bluetooth disabling vibration mode?

Hey guys, Quick question: How can I disable bluetooth from enabling sound every time it connects? For example, I'm swipe down, hit the speaker icon to turn it to vibrate, and everything's good until I connect to a bluetooth device (car, bt speaker, etc) at which point I get a sound (assuming...

Here are the Major Note 7 Alternatives (sorry, none of them are exactly like the Note 7)

Re: I PHONE 7! You can - should only need to pay the restock fee. I've used all platforms - Android, Win, IOS, WebOS, BB - they all have their strengths. With the death of the Note 7 I ended up going 7+ (256) with no reservations, but I'm also perfectly comfortable using any of the...

The Cancellation of the Note 7

Re: Samsung Offering $100 to Loyal Customers Is it really loyalty if a bribe or other incentive is necessary - I don't think that word means what they think it means (unless it's after the fact - and not to be weighed in the decision). Perhaps it should be relabeled a consolation or reward.

When will they flip the kill switch off!

So then it's up to the individual to discern which is more likely: Samsung fast tracked production to time a pre-iphone/pixel launch? (or) Samsung didn't have the requisite safeguards in place to prevent QA/QC issues in a fully incubated product? The business decision to compress schedules...

When will they flip the kill switch off!

D.J. Koh chose to accelerate the launch of a new phone due to rumors that the iPhone 7 was an iterative update - according to people close to the subject. The internet is crawling with anecdotal evidence of this (starting with Bloomberg), however I doubt Mr. Koh is going to step up publicly and...

When will they flip the kill switch off!

Are you asserting that Samsung did everything right and still botched it up? I don't know which is worse.

Old Information about the Note 7 Recall

Re: Am I The Only One Waiting For the Results of the Investigation? The truth will out - but it will come from a 3rd party analysis and then passive confirmation by Samsung. The fact that Samsung's estimating this to cost them $2.3b USD solidifies my speculation.

Old Information about the Note 7 Recall

Re: Am I The Only One Waiting For the Results of the Investigation? Samsung halted production and put together a replacement program - they no longer need to offer an explanation. The decision to halt production was an internal initiative, I suspect the investigation is concluded and the...

When will they flip the kill switch off!

Re: Stupidity or Incompetence? This line of thinking isn't following the path of least resistance. Consider for a moment that Samsung simply rushed production and cut corners in QC/QA to bring the phone to market faster. It was a gamble that didn't pay off.

When will they flip the kill switch off!

Re: Stupidity or Incompetence? 1. Maybe - seems like a short-sighted approach, and why pick the Note 7, why not a more popular device? 2. Samsungs a leaky bucket already - it would be more damaging to sever their relationship as a supplier with a larger entity. Batteries are already made...

When will they flip the kill switch off!

Re: Stupidity or Incompetence? There are mechanisms in place to prevent this sort of thing from having an effect out of band with the supply chain. It's a fun thought experiment, but doesn't really hold up. But let's go down the rabbit hole, who benefits from this?
