Nitestorm, I read on these forums that scotch tape on the back might "tighten" the fit of the SIM card in it's slot. I don't know how true this is but error free for a week now when before it was daily. :D BS Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Android Central Forums

Yep. I also cleaned the contacts, used canned air to blow out any debris, put Scotch tape on back of SIM, yet the problems randomly and sporadicly return. Replacing SIM card didn't help me either. I don't want a refurbished unit so I'll hang on in hopes they might acutally fix it. Here's...

Happened 4 times to me today after a month with no issue. I noticed today that if I use my mobile hotspot and turn it off I get the no SIM error 10 minutes later. I can reproduce this but the time varies. Must be an undocumented feature. :( I'll try the scotch tape trick tonight but the hotspot...
