Thanks for your help. I should have said in my OP that I had thought it was maybe something to do with WiFi calling, but it couldn't be as WiFi calling was turned off. Also the graphic in the icon other than the number and handset was not exactly the WiFi symbol, and this is the other thing...

What is the second icon from the left? The one with the handset and the number 2 in the bottom right of the icon? It seems like I've got 2 of something to deal with, but I can't find anything on my phone that might be the cause of this icon to be appearing. Thanks for any help given.
