Would it be possible to set the custom key to enter android recovery? My project/android device manufcture disable this (unbranded device that's restricted). On a personal note I don't think its possible, but I'm asking for clarification.

I'm pretty sure deleting it will cause you to have to re-sign into a couple of things, and get your device decently setup again. Doesn't google play services managed logged in accounts etc.. (and some backups of some apps if i believe)?
