L to M to L again, battery issue

In my case, the battery drain stops at about 85% now. Prior to that, it rapidly discharges, even on idle. So no, this is not a physical battery issue or whatsoever. It was working fine when I got the phone, started getting crazy after I flashed the sinister M preview. Posted via the Android...

L to M to L again, battery issue

As you can see, in just a few hours, the battery is down to 80% and draining at an unusual rate. I was originally on Lollipop 5.1.1, and the battery life was fine, I used to get around 22 hours with one full charge. Then I flashed M preview 2, and I had the random WiFi Mac address issue, so I...

    Google voice typing problem

Same issue here, happened exactly when I tapped on the info bar that appeared on top of the keyboard, see image. However, I uninstalled it, and rebooted the phone. It's working fine as long as I don't touch that info. Posted via the Android Central App

    Apps' Hibernation?

CCleaner can't clean certain cache and shows them each time you do a scan. But will give it another try. You still haven't told me why not to use Clean Master? I'm pretty sure there's a logical reason behind it. Posted via the Android Central App. Android Lollipop 5.1, Nexus 5, 32GB (White)

    Apps' Hibernation?

I guessed it would be that, but since this was in the accessibility options, I thought it was strange. Anyways, I've heard many people say the same, that it's better not to use Clean Master... Then how do you clean up junk files? Posted via the Android Central App. Android Lollipop 5.1, Nexus...

    Apps' Hibernation?

Hi, I was strolling through the settings today and this option caught my attention. I've tried googling it, but didn't find anything relating to this. Has anyone given this a try? Do you guys have this option? Right now, I turned it on and will see if this has any significant affect on the...

WiFi MAC Address Changes on Every Reboot

I updated to Android M DP2 today, everything worked out fine except for this issue. After flashing the new OS, I left the OEM lock status unlocked, so I thought, that was the problem, so I locked it again and pure ****... Nothing happened and its the same. I'm 100% sure this is a software issue...

Storage settings? Miscellaneous files?what 6 gb?

Just in case, if anyone is still facing this issue, here's a way that worked for a friend of mine on Samsung Galaxy Core 2. In particular, I think this problem occurs mainly in TouchWiz. Never saw anyone with this issue on Stock Android... Perhaps it is time to come to the bright side. 1...

    The truth about battery life/apps/android.

The best way I've come around this is by deleting the Facebook app and using the normal Facebook site. Using Messenger for chats. I believe that's a much better way to save battery as the Messenger consumes less battery than the actual Facebook app. Posted via the Android Central App, Lollipop...

    The truth about battery life/apps/android.

Great post! And I'd like to add, one of many battery draining culprits is the Facebook app. I get 18 to 28 hours of battery on my Nexus 5 depending on the frequency of usage on average. It all comes down to how you optimize your settings to get the best out of your battery.

Cellular data does not turn on automatically

I think it's pretty obvious, without that, cellular data won't even work. You've got it wrong man, that's not what I'm asking. Thanks for the contribution anyway. Posted via the Android Central App, Lollipop 5.1 / White Nexus 5 (32GB)

Cellular data does not turn on automatically

Hi, I just bought a Nexus 5 a week ago, its not rooted and runs Lollipop 5.1. After I've setup everything, I noticed whenever I turn off WiFi or leave the range of my WiFi, the cellular data doesn't kick in automatically, simply displays an exclamation mark on the network icon. I need to go into...
