Does the Galaxy Note 5 have Hardware Accelerated Encryption?

I get that it can be encrypted but what I'm really interested in finding out is whether or not Google or anyone else could decrypt it and would the phone wipe itself if they tried and failed X number of times. I'm basically looking for the same level of protection out of my Note 5 that current...

Does the Galaxy Note 5 have Hardware Accelerated Encryption?

That may be....but we are getting off subject here. I was only wondering if the Note 5 supported Hardware Accelerated Encryption and unfortunately, still am. :)

Does the Galaxy Note 5 have Hardware Accelerated Encryption?

Respectfully, I'd suggest you think long and hard about your statement. "Arguing that you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about free speech because you have nothing to say." ~ Edward Snowden

Does the Galaxy Note 5 have Hardware Accelerated Encryption?

With what's been happening in the U.S. I am becoming increasingly concerned regarding my Note 5 remaining unencrypted. I am extremely impressed with Apple's Tim Cook and his stance on the order issued to them by that Federal Judge in California and am hoping that Samsung has similar built...

    Prevent deletion of SMS messages.

I have installed SMS Tracker Pro but that only allows me to see her texts. I really don't want her deleting them at all. This way I can check her phone and not tip my hand that she has "sms spyware" installed on it.

    Prevent deletion of SMS messages.

Hello. Is there a way to prevent someone from deleting their SMS conversation history? The short answer to why/who. 13yr old daughter got her phone taken away for abusing our trust. We want to trust her but we aren't keeping our heads in the sand. We want to give her the phone back but only...

ICS 4.0.4 this morning, lost USB Mass Storage??!!

So I rooted FF18 and then DL'd an app called "USB Switcher" off the Play store and everything is working great! Now I have to figure out how to use Nandroid to backup my phone and then I want to try the ROM JayWill72 mentioned....Sounds like I have some reading to do!

Guide for reverting back to Gingerbread OFW from ICS?

I noticed an immediate increase in the amount of time it took to transfer files from my PC to my phone. I verified this on multiple PC's. That and running the phone with MTP meant installing software in my PC at work and IT frowns on that sort of thing here so.....

ICS 4.0.4 this morning, lost USB Mass Storage??!!

I would be rolling back to Gingerbread, rooting, backing up my data, doing a fresh install of Gingerbread and then trying the ROM you showed me. I have been experiencing app lock ups since I "upgraded". Truth be told I'm only worried about my contacts, everything else is totally expendable ass...

Guide for reverting back to Gingerbread OFW from ICS?

This is all on PC's. The option is not on the touch interface. I've received confirmation on the the Android Developer forums that USB Mass Storage was in fact removed from the ICS official release. There are workarounds however.

ICS 4.0.4 this morning, lost USB Mass Storage??!!

Is the process for installing the Custom ROM you showed me the same or is it vastly different? I went to the site and read the feature list and it seems like a good build, I've just never run a custom ROM before. (Always been afraid of bricking my phone).

ICS 4.0.4 this morning, lost USB Mass Storage??!!

Sign me up! GB was awesome compared to this mess. I was running GB stock with root and was very happy with it. Though I would not mind trying a custom ROM to see how it performs. I've just read that a lot of the custom ROMS had trouble with the GPS. In any case if you do write I guide I would...

ICS 4.0.4 this morning, lost USB Mass Storage??!!

Tried Debug as well but no go. That only forces the connection to always be as Mass Storage versus MTP. With Gingerbread I was able to go to "settings", "Wireless and Network" and then Select USB which would then allow me to select the Mass storage option. This does not appear to exist in ICS...

Official - I Received the ICS OTA Update!! Thread

Got my update this morning. Now I no longer have the ability to use the phone as USB Mass Storage. Looking for a way to go back to Gingerbread now. To clarify, the option is not even available.
