I use an app called call filter. Works good at blocking calls and has a number of configurations. Do not know about what happens if a blocked call comes in while you are talking though. --bill

For that dvd you own (that is copy protected) and want to rip/convert you can use anydvd for being able to access the dvd and then rip to another format using, in my case, handbrake. --bill

Don't know in this case, but in the past I have found when an app does not work after an update uninstalling and reinstalling will quite often fix. Would be interesting if you gave that a try. --bill

Since I set mine to cdma/lte only from global my battery life is as good as it was on GB. I live in a 4g area and have 4g connectivity all the time. --bill

I can run Infrastructure (AP) mode on my Samsung Fascinate either with the Verizon hot spot (if I want to pay) or Wifi Tether version 3 beta 6 also does Infrastructure. Works great with my Nook Color and HP laptop. --bill

Verizon hot spot is Infrastructure mode not ad hoc. Also Wifi Tether latest beta will do infrastructure mode as well. Both of these work well with my Samsung Fascinate and either HP laptop or Nook Color running CM7. --bill

Already have Nook Color running CM7 in eMMMC. Have Nook and Kindle apps installed. So already have a 7 inch tablet with more possibilities. Already have Amazon Prime so have access to content. I do think the 7 inch size is just right for an e-reader but a tad small for browsing the web...

When I went to update to nightly 197 rom manager said I needed to have the premium (paid) version to update. Never had that happen before. Have been doing since nightly 129 with no problems. So I downloaded 197 and copied to sdcard and installed from there. --bill

If you have a decent router, you did not say what you have, you should be able to assign a static IP address in the DHCP support and assign the DNS servers you want to use as well and push that to your devices. This way you do not have to do settings in the device. At least that is what I do...
