I've been happily puttering away with my Galaxy Note now for a couple of weeks. For me, this device was the answer I was looking for, as I was able to go from a tablet and a phone down to just one device. I hate lugging around more stuff than I can fit in my pockets, anyway. I love to travel...

I carry mine either in my jeans pocket (I like relaxed fit jeans, works out nicely) or in my shirt pocket, if I'm wearing one with the larger pockets. Quite comfortable either way, surprisingly. :)

I, too, refrain from using a screen protector on the Note. I got the Samsung Flip Case that has the nice lined cover to protect it while it's in your pocket. Very similar to the smart covers Apple is selling for their iPads. With the flip cover in place, I just don't see the need for one...

I use mine heavily all day (email, text messaging, browsing, the whole enchilada) and battery life is quite impressive. I'm usually still at 30-40% when I plug it in at night before retiring. Best battery life I've had on a phone ever, bar none. :)

The Note will most certainly get ICS. It's now Samsung's flagship phone, it's being advertised aggressively, and it's the first phone to bridge the gap between tablet and phone. Of course it'll get ICS... It's just a question of when. It's possible we might see it as part of the Premium...

I thought about that myself yesterday, while enjoying this massive, amazingly clear screen. I realize that I'm now completely spoiled... :D

Congrats on the Note. I picked one up Sunday as well, I moved over from WebOS and an HP Pre 3. I decided it was time to jump off the sinking ship while I could still get a decent price for the old WebOS hardware on Ebay. Not regretting it at all. The Note is great, and sure is nice to have...

I picked mine up today from my local Best Buy. I preordered just a couple of days ago, and as of this morning only 2 of the 20 units they got in were spoken for. They were going fast, though - folks were all over the demo units... no surprise there.
