Unfortunately for me on a Samsung S6 it appears to be EITHER setting the brightness to Automatic (with built-in settings, no app) OR ES Task Manager's Quick Access feature that allows you to set a custom menu that pops-up (!) with a swipe from the corner...EVEN IF YOU DISABLE ITS OVERLAY...

Oh my -this has been driving me crazy for 3 days, and I'm out of town and the "screen overlay detected" pop up was making Waze and Audible inoperable!! Tried all the relevant suggestions (I have a Samsung S6) - changing the settings in Applications turning off the overlay for all apps didn't...
