New is always better but I feel it’s actually better to jump with alternate model like S7 to S9 or probably go for the next one if your on S8 .. two benefits ... first you use up ur previous phone long enough and secondly you get new features instead of just refinements in the new one

It’s high time Samsung should really look into this aspect of good quality in box earphones
