I agree, love the stock app. Tried Google messenger, textra and a few others and they were ok but the stock app just works better for me. I hate the emojis though, I literally don't understand them and they don't translate on other platforms

I think you nailed it, I'm in the opposite camp but totally get it. iMessage and FaceTime are so great, I hate that I don't have those features anymore...if Apple made those available on the play store it would be game over but I don't see that happening anytime soon
