rooting the stylo 2 isn't very easy and you can't do it with on the phone software. unlocking the bootloader isn't the easiest task on these phones and you can easily brick it. I've been searching for a failproof way. I think I've found one and as soon as I get a chance I'm going to try it...

there is no switch in settings. you have to have android 7.0 or greater and you tap and hold on your square window key at the bottom (key on the right along with your back and home keys) for 2 sec to bring up your second window.

In nougat you won't get the option to move apps in the apps menu. To move apps you go to your settings menu and choose general then choose storage. I have my stylo 2 through boost mobile and I've been upgraded tip 7.0 nougat for a while now. Your lack of update must be because of your carrier. Nougat is a great os.

You can mirror your phone to your firestick and that will show your screen from your phone in real time. Just enable mirroring from display and sounds from your firestick and cast from your phone

Have you tried booting into safe mode? If you can't choose anything try booting into safe mode and going in and clearing your cache to see if that helps.

What model of LG phone do you have and which version of Android?

If you have an SD card try moving the games and other things you have downloaded to your card. You should have had a little over 8gb of storage left after the os and bloatware installed from the carrier. Also cached data can add up pretty quick so you can delete all of that too. That should help.
