Didn't have coverage problems, but a few times people on the other end said I was breaking up. Haven't had any such complaints since thus update and it seems like I get 3 bars instead of 2 more consistently at the house.

Anyone know why certain apps don't show in the list of apps to scale? I'm specifically looking to set Textra to the standard 16.7:9 because other scalings do not show the white navigation bar, it shows a black one instead.

Haven't noticed anything bad with reception. I think the fair test is to run a speed test. From what I understand, LTE is not always faster than 4G. LTE does not penetrate building walls etc as well as 4G so you may be better off speed-wise with the 4G even though the Mate 9 shows higher bars

Checked for updates and got a new version on AT&T (H87110c) Will monitor to see what's changed. Seems like it's still on March security patch so probably some bug fixes.
