CM9 (ICS) Alpha 0 is out

Definitely not. I'm single tapping and just doing normal touch-typing and it's nailing periods on the end of words repeatedly. Doesn't happen if I go -VERY- slowly, but as I pick up speed it is everywhere. I am absolutely only single-tapping space, and it's very annoying :). I wonder if there's...

CM9 (ICS) Alpha 0 is out

LCD density at 130 seems to be quite a bit nicer as well. At stock 160 everything is just too big - including the keyboard. Cranking density in the build.prop improves things.

CM9 (ICS) Alpha 0 is out

OK, first impressions. Holy hell does ICS run beautifully on the touch pad. Butter smooth and I love the new style and functionality. The most recent list of apps is particularly nice, shades of webOS... It also boots really really fast after the first boot. Notifications are great too - again...

    Keyboards for touchpad?

The touchpad's HP case is custom-made for the device. Most ipad cases will also fit the device but many cover the bezel which gets rid of your whole swipe-up capabilities. You'll have to try it in different cases to see for yourself. Keyboards on the other hand... The touchpad supports...

    MIUI.us 2.3.7 beta TouchPad

I tried it. It's pretty - the menus etc look nice. Icons look nice. It runs reasonably fast - felt fairly lag-free once I had it set up at my 1.5ghz speed. There are a few annoyances - like the soft buttons covering up other soft-buttons (it's a hodgepodge solution to the lack of a...

Most stable android for hp touchpad?

Right now everything is based on the CM7 android port. The MIUI and the XRON builds are both, at their core, largely CM7. My suggestion is just get the vanilla CM7 alpha 3.5 installed for now, then you can easily experiment with XRON or MIUI from clockworkmod (backup/install, then restore your...

    MIUI port?

Haven't given it a shot yet. The dev has explained he's coming out with a beta version and that it should drop today. I'll probably try it then. In the current incarnation it's lacking soft-buttons and is fairly buggy according to all the reports I've read, the beta should make it much more...

    Xron-ified Android (alpha 3) - INSTALL THIS!!!!!

Yep, running the most recent version which is already on top of A3.5. Working nicely, no complaints.

    GTA III

I can confirm it's working nicely, completely playable, and the controls are remarkably smooth considering it's a touchscreen. I find it runs considerably better at 1.5ghz (no complaints here), and there's a patch floating around right now that'll boost the graphics up to ipad-comparable. The...

    CyanogenMod 7.1 Alpha 3 Released!

Some people say yes... Just don't perform the factory wipe step... It may not be totally safety to it however. Attempt it at your own risk and make sure you back everything first just in case.

    Xron-ified Android (alpha 3) - INSTALL THIS!!!!!

Possibly in root explorer or by removing them from the package BEFORE install. Easier to ignore them. One last thing, install wifi timeout (its free). It will allow wifi to timeout when sleeping. Improves my sleep battery life visibly. Btw, I have no wifi issues. my wifi connects automatically...

    Xron-ified Android (alpha 3) - INSTALL THIS!!!!!

Everything I was reading said don't do this over a alpha 3 install that hasn't been factory wiped first. Factory wipe -will- eliminate all your programs etc that you've previously installed on android, but it will NOT touch your webOS partition etc. Hearing you say that it -can- be installed...

Google Currents is awesome (install this too)

IGNORE - After considerable testing, force-close issues seem to plague this program at present, I don't recommend it.
