So I just dropped my note 4...

It may seem trivial but i try to avoid using previous SDs in a new device because of the way each new card is configured for it's initial device. I'm not a guru on SD(from what i've read they are not simple storage media)but i would recommend that you try to get a 128GB. You may have to spend a...

Re: an I move/copy personal data from 1 phone to another? I've used it briefly. It has it's limits. I've only used it for file transfer but cut and paste i've found, is browser dependent. For transferring apps from one device to another you can use the Play Store. It would help if you have a...

How do I completely turn off pedometer?

Check under "Device Administrators". It's in different locations on each device, usually somewhere in Security settings. If this is an app you are referring to, you may have given it Administrator rights on your device which would have been listed in the permissions.

If I root the Nexus 5 what can I do to help battery life?

Re: If I root, can I do something to help battery life? There are multiple ways to kill apps in Android. Don't bother with "app killer" apps or going into "running apps" since some are designed to run at boot time and stay active on the device. If you can go into Settings>Apps<select...

If I root the Nexus 5 what can I do to help battery life?

Re: If I root, can I do something to help battery life? Make sure that WiFi and Bluetooth are off when not using them. Kill apps that you are not using via settings and as for rooting your device here's a vid from Youtube. Hope all this helps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1AKqrrf-5o

Lots of Tablets - how do I rename them?

Yes. Your device must be rooted in order to use the SU(superuser)command. The WiFi Direct option only changes the name of the device in relation to WiFi Direct. The same as changing the BlueTooth from a MAC address to a name. As for the Google accounts, I don't see a way around having separate...

As far as I know there's no KDZ released yet for the Thrive. I had to send mine back to LG for a reflash to stock.

I spoke with a rep from LG a few weeks ago and they said that a text message will be sent to your handset so that you can upgrade. Didn't give a date though.
