I too wish the volume on the phone was significantly higher. I DO NOT want to root my phone or modify it in any way in order to get better sound volume.

Re: Which carriers are you using the Nexus 4 with? (T-Mobile & its MVNO or AT&T and its MVNO?) Solavei. Ergo T-Mobile. Why not use your N4 as a hotspot if you get unlimited data, versus paying someone else for data for your N7?

Don't know where you are geographically, but since you're using T Mobile the coverage map should be about the same as Solavei. For the same price, unlimited everything. I think you get throttled WAAAAAAAAAAAY after 500mb data though. I have been very happy with their service so far.
