another easy way... just make them on a computer... how ever you want and stick them in the folder /mnt/sdcard/media/audio/ringtones/... that's just how you do it manually...- Nemo Aeternamn

Bootstrap Issues after 605 root
to use droid x bootstrap on gingerbread... go into settings/applicaions/development/ and uncheck debugging... then it should work just fine- Nemo Aeternamn
