Wifi doesn't allow the phone to go into deep sleep so I noticed that is killing my battery, especially overnight not plugged it. Oreo took away turn wifi off during sleep which could have addressed this issue. Now I find my battery like better when I am data instead of wifi which shouldn't be...

Same thing happened to me. it's a common issue with this phone. Your motherboard is fried. It's a paper weight now. If you bought it from Google there is a good chance they will replace it with a Pixel XL. if not, you're pretty much screwed.

Why wouldn't you try to replace the battery. My screen cracked and I got it fixed. The same shop would charge me $80 to replace the battery. I'd rather do that than drop a G note on a new phone as long as everything else is fine.

Well. My phone shut off tonight for the first time at 25%. I just installed 7.1.2 this week and never had this issue before that. I've had the phone for a year now. Not a happy camper.

Sounds like you'd want the smaller. One thing Pixel did was equalling spec the phone. Apple usually gimps the smaller one somehow and their won't be a small size and I have no idea what Sony is doing since they made full specced smaller screen phones.

Sounds like you should wait for the Pixel 2 then. Apple and Samsung seem to be going the mega size route.
