I might be jinxing myself, but I think the combination of wiping out the weird/rogue MMS messages dated Jan 11 and the ever clever rebooting my phone may have resolved this issue for me. I think those blank MMS messages were stuck in Messaging as "unsent" and were being recognized by Textra as...

So one of my threads - someone I talk to several times a day - has messages much newer than Sunday (January 11, 2015) but in the main conversation list, it shows a blank "last message" and shows as "Sun." I even went in and deleted all 1/11/2015 messages and even found two weird messed up MMS...

So much misinformation. go to Google+ for Luciano Carvalho to see his post "Motorola Lollipop updates" "as promised, our Moto products from 2014 and 2013 will be updated to Lollipop really soon." This is from yesterday. In other words, it is NOT widely released yet.

I feel like there is... I've seen twice now that you should "have the latest updates for Motorola Update Services" on your phone, but I cannot find that app on my phone nor can I install it. Might need to do a factory reset as it seems to have vanished. EDIT: Ah nope that's for "1st generation"...

Still waiting for an update to my US GSM Moto G (2nd Gen.) i.e. XT1064

So almost every US GSM Moto G (2nd Gen) has the update? I wonder what's wrong with my particular handset.

It's maddening how many web sites are referencing old articles when Motorola released a TEMPORARY soak test for the U.S. market and report that Lollipop is available for the U.S. Moto G (2014) when it still is not. (XT1064 here, not carrier dependent.)

Re: Has anyone updated OTA to 5.0 yet? Ah finally some sense - I kept finding (abandoned) blog posts and forum threads saying Android 5.0 was available for the 2014 Moto G. But that was temporary, and we're still waiting for the wide release at this point. Anyone have any luck yet?

Re: Moto G (2nd Gen): 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.11.6) If I understand correctly, this was a TEMPORARY soak test, yes? And Lollipop is not widely available for the 2014 Moto G US GSM phone yet? I feel like maybe I'm taking crazy pills because I have a basic UNLOCKED retail 2014 Moto G (US GSM)...

But I are dumb and not know how! *derp* If anyone knows how to do that, I'd be happy!

FYI I could not find "Google Photos" in the app list, but you can drag "Photos" from your App Manager to "App Info" to get to the screen with the Reset Defaults option.
