Could also be related to the Samsung USB drivers. Try updating them. I remember having a similar problem with my Galaxy S 1. But it was a very long time ago so I don't remember how I solved it. Did you try using Samsung Kies to copy the files?

Don't buy the one with RK3188 soc. They have problems streaming and sometimes playing full HD videos. The GPU inside is Mali400 which is pretty old already. If you want a cheap Chines mini PC on Android take one with RK3288 inside.
