Torpedo method works, you have to make a few changes for 2.3.5 because I believe a few of the folders were moved/deleted with the update. Someone posted the correct method on here or xda. Edit: forums.androidcentral.com/sprint-photon/189392-how-root-after-2-3-5-a.html

My phone is working fine after the update, just my Yahoo email has been acting up for a while, have to reboot phone to get new emails sometimes... and just rooted it for the first time!

Torpedo method worked! First time I rooted my phone, Wifi tether works... so what else can I do? Can I install Cyanogenmod7 with 2.3.5 or have to wait for it to work with new update?

Put your phone on charge then turn it off. See if that works...

I see it in the apps folder. I have folder organizer installed and after the update, the folder organizer app asked what folders do I want the app Social Location to be associated with. I had thought my 2 year old installed something. But it came with the update.

Had to do a battery pull to make this thing go. edit: update installed a new app called "Social Location."

no update either... All stock... Sync with Wi-fi was already unchecked...
