I've never used any CM9 version prior to upgrading from CM7 to the CM9 0418 nightly, and youtube works fine.

I took the plunge last night as well. I used the 0418 nightly build. After the recent wifi issues on CM7, the new setup is a revelation - I love the much more polished look, and everything works fine, from apps to email to youtube. I've never used the camera, so it wasn't an issue to me.

I've installed CM7 on three Touchpads now and it went without a glitch every time. When you say novacom doesn't work, what exactly are you doing, and what is the symptom you see ? Were you able to create the cminstall folder and copy the three files necessary (and the gapps file optionally) ...
