Thanks for this. My Nexus 7 (2012) was running like a dog anyway and I was looking towards Lollipop to fix it. Maybe not! Lollipop will not be allowed anywhere near my Nexus 4 though, which is running beautifully and is going to stay that way. Testing, I'm sure they've heard of it...

RE Dead Android Error: Same problem for me too with the Nexus 7... The same update is now waiting to download on my nexus 4 as well, so not sure what to do.

Agreed. I have only ever crashed my Nexus 4 whilst using the camera. I don't use the flash though. Still on 4.3 but my phone half flattened its battery last night transferring a lot of data (approx 800MB) in the small hours so perhaps 4.4 is on its way?

Satisfied. My first Android phone. Battery life could be better and I do worry about the fragility of the glass back so it is probably a stepping stone to the next Nexus phone (likely to be made by Motorola?). The VFM cannot be disputed though.

Hi, this happened to mine too. No idea what caused it as I don't use the app mentioned. All other phone sounds worked OK and selecting a new ringtone made no difference to the problem. A reboot fixed it.
