You'll need to go to default messaging application and hit menu then go to settings then scroll down to where it says notifications and uncheck it. Now go to handcent and do the same but make sure notifications are checked. Then if you want to complete it go to contacts then longpress on any...

You can always use UOT theme kitchen and create a theme that includes the transparent notification slider. I don't know that cm7 offers the ability to edit it without alternate themes. Sent from my LS670 using Tapatalk
