I have had my OP 9 Pro on Google Fi for a couple of weeks now and I am not having this issue.

OnePlus always leaves somethings out to cut cost. If you feel you will need expandable storage, it probably is not the device for you. I personally have never come close to the storage limits so I am happy with OnePlus

Love my 7t Pro McLaren. The Cameras have never disappointed me. And the screen is fantastic
