    two-finger swipe for settings

I've had this issue with Android as a whole since the feature was implemented back in 4.2 (?). Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, HTC One, etc. Sometimes it works on the first try, sometimes it doesn't. The one finger swipe followed by two finger swipe coming off the lock screen is the fix that has worked...

High Android OS use after KitKat update?

My Android OS has been around 7% on average. It's usually higher in the mornings coming off the charger but settles down throughout the day. I don't sync a lot of Google apps except when needed, so that may help. Posted via Android Central App

How does it do in bright sunlight?

The Maxx does really well at 40% brightness in direct sunlight. My iPhone 5 and HTC One don't. Posted via Droid Maxx

Users coming from iPhone5 to Maxx...

I'm own an iPhone 5, HTC One, Nexus 4, and Maxx. I can concretely say the Maxx is the best of the bunch. It's just as fast as the One and the battery life easily surpasses the iPhone 5. While I enjoyed iOS 7, it wasn't enough to make me stay on iOS. The Maxx is everything I've wanted in an...

    Droid Maxx Verge Review

I think the Ultra exists for two reasons: 1. It's the mid-price model of the new Droids. $300 for the Maxx is offsetting for a lot of people and the $99 Mini may feel too small or lacking on specs. If a customer is caught between the Maxx and Ultra, the $199 price point might make a huge...

    Droid Maxx Verge Review

Glad I wasn't the only one annoyed by Verge's review! Us Maxx owner's know the truth. The Maxx is a beast in the battery department and actually ADDS usefulness to the stock experience. HTC doesn't do that. Samsung doesn't do that. I've owned one too many phones in the past 2 years (iPhone 4...

    Screen Protector for Droid Maxx

I bought the anti-scratch protectors from my local Verizon store. They're a 3 pack for $12.99. Easy to apply and doesn't impede any pixels. ;) Posted via Android Central App

    Droid Maxx Verge Review

Certainly can't trust The Verge anymore. They say the Maxx battery is lackluster? If that's the case, then the One and S4 must REALLY suck. I've seen many a writer for The Verge hate on the Droid branding and this "review" is just more of a pile-on. Ridiculous...

Strange thing with Chase Bank App

Did you have HDR turned on? I could see that adding to the lag issue. Posted via Android Central App

    Changing " OK Google now"

Changing to "OK Google" created a bug for me. My Maxx would randomly just open the Touchless Controls for no reason, even in a quiet room. Anyone else experience this? Changing back to "OK Google Now" fixed things. Posted via Android Central App

    Text tone problem?

I want to say I had this problem on day one, but playing around with the volume settings seemed to fix it. (No sarcasm) Posted via Android Central App

Who has the Maxx already or picking one up on day 1 (Today)?

Battery update: I'm currently at 35 hours on battery and 5 hours 40 mins of screentime with 32% battery remaining. If you've always wanted an Android phone with insane battery life, this is the one. Posted via Android Central App

    Wireless Charging

The highest my Maxx has hit is 95 degrees when charging on the Nexus 4 wireless charger. It hovers around that temperature for a good 40 mins before going back to around 84-88 degrees for the remainder of the charge. I haven't had any problem centering my phone to get a charge. I just plop it on...

Who has the Maxx already or picking one up on day 1 (Today)?

The only syncs I have running are for my Google apps, brightness at 50%, wifi on about half the day, no GPS or Bluetooth. I kept these same settings for my One in order to do a precise comparison. I finally ran the battery down to 23% with 25 hours on battery and 9 hours of screen time.

Who has the Maxx already or picking one up on day 1 (Today)?

I had a Sprint HTC One running stock Android before I got the Maxx. I'd normally go with 15 hours on battery and 4 hours of screen time before needing to recharge. I'd have 5-10% of battery life leftover using the One. My iPhone 5 with iOS 7 would go for 28 hours on battery with 7 hours of...
