An update! I haven't had any problems since the factory reset, so seems like (as usual) it was the magic thing needed! Thanks for all your help everyone :D

Thanks to both of you for the welcome and help! :) I'm gonna go ahead and do a factory reset. I was a little afraid of doing one because I had issues with activation and had to go in to a Sprint store to get everything sorted out... but I'll take the risk! Here's hoping it works!!
