Thank you so much! That seemed to fix the problem, whatever driver the program installed. It called itself Samsung USB driver, but the driver is signed by the developer of the PDANET program so it must be custom. It solved the issue though. I've never had that problem with Samsung.

No, it has not been resolved. Apps constantly reload in the background despite having over half a gigabyte of RAM. I am not on power saving or cellular network, either. I am amazed when I switch from YouTube for 30 seconds to search for a definition on the Google app and switch back to YouTube...
