    Messaging apps...what do you use?

I am happy using Google Messages with RCS on Google Fi. It works GREAT on my Pixel 4XL!! Since Google Fi uses T-Mobile/Sprint, end to end encryption is supported, and should soon be implemented.

    Samsung's Crappy Update Policy.

Exactly my point. The original Pixel and Pixel XL was released in October 2016 and they still received monthly updates up until the January 2020 update where it did not receive that update. That about 3 years of monthly updates.

    Samsung's Crappy Update Policy.

For me it boils down to peace of mind. I have the Pixel 4 XL and I feel fairly confident about doing banking on my phone as I'm on Google Fi with VPN turned on and I have the January update already. I also have the Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet and the only thing I feel confident about doing on...

    New Pixel 4XL user lost

While I agree that the back gesture can get a bit tricky, I've trained myself to always swipe left or right starting from the middle of the screen. This avoids any possibility of triggering the back gesture. Also, when opening the side menu as in GMail, don't swipe from left to right...

    My Pixel 4XL is lagging

Exactly why I ALWAYS put a screen protector on my phone. Glass is glass and glass will scratch, crack, break, shatter, etc. Protect it.

    My Pixel 4XL is lagging

I'm having no issues with face unlock, no lagging, smooth screen, and Google Assistant is working fine. Occasionally, GA seems to get stuck, but I think that's a server side issue. Google is, after all, constantly updating GA, so it might just be that the services are busy updating the GA at...

From Samsung Note 10+ to Pixel 4 XL

While you can compare software, camera, price, ecosystem and operating system to an extent, there is one reason that stands out for me as to why I will always choose the Pixel over the Samsung...updates. With all the hacking and cyber attacks going on today, it is extremely important to me...

Bezels didn't suck until Samsuck and crApple told you they did.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the Pixel 4 and the forehead. Finally a screen with no notch, no hole punch, NOTHING that will interfere with my videos and it doesn't appear the forehead will really be all that big. I think Google is finally listening to us consumers and giving us what we...

Has Your Battery Life Improved on Beta P?

Most definitely seeing an increase in battery life on my original Pixel XL. Fell asleep at 9:00 p.m. without plugging the phone in and last I looked I had 67% battery left. When the alarm went off at 5:00 a.m., I realized I forgot to plug in the phone and when I looked, I still had 64%...

    Pixel XL vehicle pairing issue

This is a common issue with the Pixel line. I'm sorry to say I am having to return my Google Pixel 2 XL! I've had an issue with the original Pixel XL for months trying to get it to stay connected to my Honda Accord. I've sent in bug reports to Google's Tier 3 tech support to help them find...

    Bluetooth issues

Okay All - sorry to say I am having to return my Google Pixel 2 XL! I've had an issue with the original Pixel XL for months trying to get it to stay connected to my Honda Accord. I've sent in bug reports to Google's Tier 3 tech support to help them find the fix. To date, no fix, so I decided...

Ok Pixel owners - the S8 is here. Who's jumping ship?

Sorry, but I'm not dropping my Pixel XL. I love the thing! The camera is AWESOME, the screen is incredible and I get really GREAT battery life. Plus, stock Android is the way to go! It might not have all the bells and whistles that Samsung adds, but it also doesn't have all the lag, crashes...

Why do I hear no sound when I call "ok Google?"

After many trials and tribulations, I've narrowed this down to the "Accessibility" setting. In order to hear the audible "bleep" when you say "OK Google," you'll need to ensure that "Switch Access" is turned "ON" in setting. Navigate to "Settings" - ""Accessibility" - "Switch Access" and...

    update 7.1.1

Joined BETA program and installed 7.1.1. Immediately cancelled the program and went back to 7.0. Why? Because I seriously injured my hands in an accident and have a conditional REQUIREMENT to use "OK Google" verbal activation when my phone is locked and screen is off. I need to be able to...

Why do I hear no sound when I call "ok Google?"

THANK YOU!! This worked for me. Finally got my beep back. This was really driving me crazy especially when I want holding the phone and couldn't feel the vibration. You are a God!
