You are welcome to think that, but I think you mean you don't see value in it. Others have expressed their preference,so I'm sure we aren't all speaking on pure delusion :) The only reason question for a manufacturer is whether there are enough folks out there to make it profitable.

My HTC One M7 gets so hot it burns my skin to hold, and yet even after 2.5 years of ownership my charge lasts most of a day (yes i'm here shopping for a new phone). My point is, the new batteries have pretty good lifespans compared to how they went to total crap after 20 months just a few years...
