    poor reception

I'm happy to report the reception strength of this z5c is just fine. The nearest tower is something like 8km away and i get two bars fairly consistently.

    poor reception

I wanted to like the Priv but dang the size of it was not in my budget. I like this z5c though and hope the antenna can pick up my tower when I get home. I've been trying to avoid thinking about it but spring has sprung and it's back to work. :)

    poor reception

BB have strong antennas. I've had my Z5C for a few months now and only had one dropped call. I'm kinda living in a little metropolis though. It will be unfortunate if I have to switch back to my trusty BB 9350 Curve when I move north again for the summer months.

    6.0 enables 10+ day standby/Doze time

My phone use that weekend was very low. I received one short (under a minute) phone call and checked for messages and the time a few times a day. I probably didn't do anything online and might have had wifi turned off. This was predominantly standby time. The phone was stationary for the most...

    6.0 enables 10+ day standby/Doze time

So I charged up this Z5C Thursday night and 3 days later it's sitting at 85%. This is with very light use, no significant apps, and limited travel/pocket time. I've disabled/uninstalled a few things and could slim down more I imagine but 15% over 3 days is pretty darn good. Battery use shows 6...

How is Marshmallow on the Xperia Z5 Compact?

Bell Canada came through yesterday! The Z5c remains issues free although it did get warm during the update. My case probably doesn't help dissipate much heat.

How is Marshmallow on the Xperia Z5 Compact?

Tempting but I'm not that mobile tech-savvy. That and I'm curious how behind the times Bell Canada is. This Z5C is running without issue so I'm fine waiting it out.

    life with my new z5c

The Xperiablog has a post from Jan. 4th declaring an open beta for a Sony weather app. that has an icon that looks suspiciously like Accuweather. Looking further into the comments the screen-shots show quite clearly the Accuweather app. Curious that Sony would attempt/force a 'global' weather...

    life with my new z5c

Rev 1 The Amazon purchase came from Swiftronics Canada. I can see no serial # specifically other than a Si # 1297-9958.

    life with my new z5c

As a new z5c owner I thought I'd add my .25. A couple weeks in and overall I'm very pleased. The only thing i can really knock the device for are the volume and camera button. Coming from a BB Curve which has rubber covers over these buttons the plastic feels frail. I generally have the phone...

    rev# and 810 version

no question it's snappy - i"m on an older a6 laptop so 'snappy' is a relative term but putting to shame is not far off.

    rev# and 810 version

I'm not a heavy user...yet...so the heat thing might not be a big deal but this ambiguity is somewhat reassuring. again this Z5c is exactly what i was after - other than i can't get rid of acuweather yet
