I don't bother running 100, 600 or 900. I can't run them at a much lower voltage than 200, 800 and 1000 so I don't see the point. I run 4 steps - 200, 400, 800, 1000 - pretty close to standard voltage. My phone runs smoother that way. I can run -200mv at 100mhz, and big UV's everywhere else...

I went back and got the OTA for the new modem, which is probably a LOT more time/trouble than it's worth. I can tell you from my brief moments on stock Froyo - there is no hope for Touchwiz. It's slow sh!t even on 2.2. Restoring my nandroid as I type.

The gps will always be a great mystery on this phone. At least Samsung has gotten it working for most people in a reasonable amount of time, outside where it counts. Testing inside is just for grins, it's pretty useless. There are times when I'm getting lost at 70mph where I really wish it was...

Well, yesterday with "us" a lock inside my house took 40 sec, today back on "north-america" it took 30sec in the same spot. Which is why I encourage skepticism with gps "fixes." I've tried them all, and they're mostly placebo for me. My gps has been pretty much the same since dj05, that was...

I'd be shocked if you got a 4sec cold lock outside in a field. Toggle your gps off overnight and try in the morning.

It might have an effect for some people, but not where I live, not on my phone. Just encouraging skepticism :)

This doesn't do anything for me. I messed with the gps.conf file back on Eclair when the gps actually did suck and it didn't do much back then either. This idea was developed on some Euro Galaxy S forum where they found putting their country's ntp server helped. There is a lot of placebo effect...
