    Green Screen

Update: Tried everything, nothing worked. No choice but to eventually take my device back into Samsung and have the screen replaced. It was thankfully still under warranty. Just. Meant I could dodge the cost bullet, and have the hardware replaced free. Working as it should again, with added...

    Green Screen

Twenty one month old Note 9, 6 GB/128 GB variant, sim-free. Had fair share of issues lately, latest is the apparently rather widespread dreaded green screen tint issue. Would seem software related to me. Phones display can go back to normal fleetingly, sometimes maybe even for a good few...

    Call Issues

An update just in case someone is following this thread and has the same problem: The issue happened once more in the course of setting up the phone. This morning decided to change my alarm tone and enabled the Bixby alarm - it's the set up I had before. Not entirely sure why as I'm not the...

    Call Issues

Thank you and basically, yes. The objective was to try to solve the issue without having to do a factory reset, then go through the hassle of setting it up from scratch again. Rather tiresome getting a phone the way you want/need to use it. However, just happy to have it functioning properly again.

    Call Issues

Happy to report what seems like a fix: Turns out there was nothing to do but to act on that last resort - a factory reset, and hey presto, phone working as it should. Still rather shocked Samsung were convinced digging into it and changing what turns out was a fully functional component, rather...

    Call Issues

Have a dual sim Note 9, 6 GB/128 GB variant, Sim Free. Around a week ago started having call issues whereby the other party calling can't hear me but I can hear perfectly well. Once this started happening, it was most of the time, but strangely not always. Every once in a while, a call would...

Note 9 to Note 20 Upgrade?

    *Splutter... This! Too right

Note 9 to Note 20 Upgrade?

Would seem so. The vanilla Note 20 makes very little sense.

Note 9 to Note 20 Upgrade?

A thousand quid for a plastic phone? No Samsung. Just no! Samsung announced both the Note 20, and its big brother, Note 20 Ultra today. While the Ultra looks likely to once again end the year at the top, or at least fairly close to the top of the flagship food chain, (thus justifying at least...

Note 9 users what is your next phone upgrade plan

Have loved owning the Note 9. Understated. Especially now, in the face of far more modern competition. Perhaps some of its appeal is with its retro goodness: Hello audio jack, Hi Led lights, that sort of thing... Happily skipped the admittedly excellent Note 10 (mine would have been the Plus...

    February 2020 Update Download Error

We're already in "whatever" territory? Tut tut. Careful now, we don't want to turn all condescending now, do we? Had YOU bothered to read, you'll realise I had already gotten help from Samsung, BEFORE you 'offered' your wee bit of patronising 'help'. Unlike you, I have no problems reviewing...

    February 2020 Update Download Error

LOL. Spoon fed? Seriously? My apparently "condescending attitude" comes from the fact that the post I replied to had nothing to do with actually offering any help. If you bothered to read my original post, that's all I was looking for. Quite obviously if I could see the update was available...

    February 2020 Update Download Error

Quick update: Issue resolved Called regional Samsung customer service centre and a soft reset was suggested. Once done, gremlin banished, update came through and installed properly. All's good. Hopefully THIS is of actual help to anyone who might have similar issues on their device.

    February 2020 Update Download Error

Great. For you I mean. Obviously, wanted help as that hasn't been my experience, and thought I'd get feedback on what I might try to sort it out, without the stress of physically heading to Samsung. But as I said, great news your update got through okay,. In truth, still reading through your...
