It really depends on data prices. If 32GB is not enough, you need a larger data plan from operator, and that would cost more in the whole span of your Pixel life.

Buying a phone from Google, with hardware compromises, hoping to get faster updates and less bloatware, and then hearing this? What is the difference of some Chinese OEM if the software updates would wait a cell phone operator, not THE software company? Change the G at the back to V!

User replaceable batteries die too, and when they die people tend to replace them with cheap and possibly dangerous ones. I recently started to prefer service replaceable original batteries.
