I live in Thailand and on 17th of November we went to the lake nearby where Thai people celebrate the "Loy Krathong" Festival (paying respect to the Goddess of the water by ssending floating lotus-shaped decorations with incense and candles onto rivers and lakes and it make for a beautiful sight
