That story doesn't come from LG. It is only a rumour. If it were true one would think that LG would have announced the intended update by now. By keeping quiet they are hoping that the truth doesn't come out and hurt sales of the LG G6. The truth being that their customer service and commitment...

I can't seem to prevent the screen from turning on by the slightest touch. The screen will turn on and bypass the lockscreen. I currently have to completely turn off the phone or take the battery out to prevent the screen from turning on. Any thoughts?

I had to throw out several third party batteries because of this issue and I occasionally have this problem temporarily on LG made batteries!
