@ Regulator The difference is that Droid is a brand that Verizon owns. A droid phone will have all the applications/themes/swithing on animation etc. that Verizon would normally install on an Android device. I must say that I am surprised that the Thunderbolt was not called Droid Thunderbolt...

I think this should be the first reply anyone sends when they see a "battery sucks/problems" story. more often than not, this feature is very 'telling'.

You can also get the upcoming HTC Incredible S. Its a GSM with a front facing camera and is fairly powerful.

RIM as I see it are changing the way they think that's doe sure. What I suspect though is that they will use this "prized" feature to lure customers to BlackBerry using a limited or a lite version on android and iOS. They might not be able to enable such large scale integration before updating...

Correct. Verizon owns the Droid trademark

The original incredible was not released outside the US as it was a CDMA-only device. HTC is targeting the international GSM community with this one and are giving Verizon the thunderbolt.
