If money is the problem, then wait till you can afford the latest and greatest, even if it is the Note 15. But one suggestion is sell the Note 4 and at least buy the Note 5. Be careful on alignment. I put mine on and for some reason it must not have landed correctly (no I did not touch it at anytime till after the UV light treatment) because the glass was covering my front camera 1/2 way and made for lousy pictures. All the Note 8's will work on any carrier. CDMA or GSM.

Contact your carrier, if it is lock, they will have to unlock it. I bought the unlocked version because unlike all other phones, this is the only Samsung phone that has all the bands for every carrier.

If you are going to install a case, why worry about the skin? It's just going to cover it up.
