We got the phone back from repair yesterday. They replaced the handset in the end. Its running the same build of software, I think there was a hardware issue with the one we sent back. It might be worth returning your device to the carrier. Sorry I couldn't be much help.

It isnt LTE.I already own the Incredible S and its only HSPA (3G). You wont struggle for speed though, its a lot faster than you would think. The other bonus of not haveing LTE is the battery will last long enough that you dont need to carry three batteries with you to get through the day.

I was thinking the same thing, but I have to say. I love the HTC Inc S design, plus it has a better camera and you have the expandable memory. Once there is a Root & ROM for it, you can run the same stock Android experience as you would with a Nexus S. The only thing lacking then would be NFC...
