Recieved update message but will not attempt untill later after work. Michigan here by the way.

Thing is I did have the card out when I did the factory reset. although now that you mention it I didn't unmount it before I took it out as I was stuck in bootloop.

I believe that all I lost on the sd card is the apps i had moved there...music..pics...files are all still there....most of my apps came from the amazon appstore so I can get them back...but will have to start all over on my progress in the games.

Just got the update OTA...installed it...got boot loop....factory reset....now redownloading all my apps that were wiped out in the rest...which includes apps on the sd card....so yes you do lose stuff from sd card in a factory reset....so far phone seems more responsive.....but...really sucks...
