As far as connecting to the GS2, I had the same problem. Did a factory reset on the watch, and it then connected just fine. There really isn't much or any data stored in the watch to lose.

For what it's worth, I had a hard time pairing the S7 edge to my GS 2. Ended up doing a factory reset on the watch, then it paired flawlessly.
