    Moto G or Nexus 4

Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting either a Moto G or a (used) Nexus 4 for a friend who might be getting into Android development. I understand that Nexus devices are the most developer friendly but in what way and by how much will the Moto G be worse off as a developer device? Development...

    iCloud or Switch to Google?

Hi guys, New Android user here (Samsung Galaxy S3). The problem is all my contacts and calendar are on iCloud. Do you think it's better to use sync adapters like SmoothSync to get my iCloud stuff to work (prefer not to pay though...), or do you think it's better to just switch to Google? Keep...

16GB - that really sucks... Does it?

Streaming music and videos is just not a realistic option for people in many countries such as Australia. On a $29 plan, you get about 200MB of data per month. On a $49 cap, you get about 1GB of data per month. Even on the $80 plan, you only get about 2GB per month. Another issue is battery...

How long will the s3 be relevant?

Well as others have said before, it's a 3 stage distribution process. Google, OEM (in this case, Samsung), Carrier. If you do a quick Google search, it seems that Samsung haven't even released it themselves. After they do, which is reported to be before the end of this year, you'll still have to...

    S3 vs Nexus 4 vs One X

Thanks for all of the responses!! I've decided to go with the S3. Going to get it next week. To be honest I really like the Nexus 4 because of its price and frequently OS updates, but 16GB just won't cut it for me unfortunately. The One X+ definitely looks nicer and has a better UI, but it...

How long will the s3 be relevant?

S3 definitely has the hardware to run future versions of Android but the thing is will Samsung release those updates? And on top of that, how long will that take them? They haven't even released Jelly Bean for S2 yet and then there's the carriers distribution process... :(

Jelly Bean no where in sight?!

Samsung haven't even released Jelly Bean for S2 yet. Then there's the carriers distribution process... The S3 will be in the same position next year. So yea, in your own words, it's pretty pathetic compared to how you can still update a 3 year old iPhone with the latest iOS, let alone the minor...

    Help me decide...nexus or S3

I'm in the same one boat; can't decide which one to get. I'm leaning towards the Nexus 4 because as an long time iPhone user, I'm used to being able to still update my 3 year old phone with the latest OS immediately. Whereas Samsung's S2 still haven't even got Jelly Bean (unless you go through...

    S3 vs Nexus 4 vs One X

What if I purchase an unlocked handset that's non-carrier tied? Would I be able to directly just get the OEM updates?

    S3 vs Nexus 4 vs One X

Can anyone give me an idea of Samsung's history of releasing software updates for their phones?

    S3 vs Nexus 4 vs One X

Hi guys, I'm think of getting a new Android phone soon. It'll be my first so please bear with me if I ask any stupid questions. The ones I got in mind are the Galaxy S3, Nexus 4 and the HTC One X/+. Here are my concerns and criteria: - Not concerned about a lack of LTE - Great battery life...
