Im not bothering installing GMS, i think its just a matter of time but its not even needed at all. But yeah if you go into Petal Search it shows you apps including Banking ones that need updated and then you just download and install.

The banking app thing is a little bit of a pain for someone coming over from non-android as then where do you get their banking app from from?! We'll see where banks are in a few months and if theyve got round to submitting their apps to app gallery yet

Right, I keep seeing everywhere people saying the new Huaweis won't get Security Updates for Android when they are supposed to? Is this true and would it mean my device (if even for a while) is at risk?

Ive noticed the updates for banking apps coming through Petal Search so obvs the banks arent against letting the Apps work on Huawei otherwise they would have updated the app to not work on Huawei.

I havent missed it because i still use it, between that and Waze i knid of use both

I heard the same, China dont use Google and have something like 85% Android marketshare, its jjst a matter of Huawei westernising everything they use there as it just wasnt a focus for them uo until last year

I dont believe for a second that Huawei install chips that log our data and fire it to places we dont know about! The devices and equipment are checked over by all sorts of worldwide 3rd parties including all mobile networks so that would have come out public by now.
