Hazel for me. However, I was very much on the fence with the Porcelain. Part of me kind of wishes I went with Porcelain since the Hazel is a bit more muted and subdued in real life. Still love it, however.

I suspect Google will and should time this better next year and onward, but for now, am I the only one not bothered by this? Our phones are already so stable, good, and feature-rich, I don't particularly mind if the next update is a little delayed to iron out any software bugs or issues.

I agree. Something about the S23 Ultra screen pops more than the 9 Pro XL. Great screen, but for some reason feels dimmer and missing that extra icing.

I'm reluctant to see the Porcelain in person for it may make me regret the Hazel. I was very on the fence between the two colors. I still love the Hazel, but it's more subdued in real life than I was expecting.

Am I the only one blasting the brightness to see? I feel like I'm always high on the meter, at least 3/4s of the way. I'm wondering if this is just how the Pixels are calibrated? Indoors: at least 50% usually. Except at night. Outdoors: at least 3/4s if not more just to be able to see.

My quick and overall impressions with the 9 Pro XL after a day of use is that it is mostly positive. I am really interested in returning to the Pixel line as long as it's: 1) a good phone, and 2) still has the best camera. The camera department is squared away. Check out a few pics below...

The camera has been superb. Took the 9 Pro XL out for a spin today. The wide angle was amazing, too. Video is good, but seems still a small step behind the iPhone Pro. Image stabilization seems good, but the focus was kind of lacking. Maybe needs an update or more time to play and get used to...

Packaging is really nice, Cleverly thought out and simple, clean. As for the device, it's a thing of beauty. Altogether simple, elegant, well-designed, comfortable to hold, and 100% feels premium. But also without going over the top. The Hazel color is rather subdued in real life. I wonder if...

Can't wait for impressions and photos. I think Google knocked it out of the park this year with the colors. My two favs being Hazel and Porcelain (really came close to getting this one instead). Rose is lovely, too. As is the Wintergreen and Peony on the regular 9. Great choices this year...
