How can i go back to my original software

I'm going to have to try this. The OTA update keeps bugging me to install it, and I don't want to until I figure out how to unroot.

    Case for your Maxx

I'm now inclined to get a mobile pocket pouch / sleeve case. Anybody know of a good one that fits well for the Droid Maxx? The Note 2 sleeves are kinda big, and I don't know if the ones for the S3/HTC One will fit with the Maxx.

    Case for your Maxx

Is it just me, or is there no video out there of a drop test for the Droid Maxx? I really want to know how it holds up without a case. I did buy a TUDIA Ultra Slim Melody Series TPU Protective Case for it, but in all honesty I much prefer my phone without a case at all. That extra piece of mind...

    Droid Maxx Verge Review

I used to frequent reading The Verge, and even listened to their regular podcast, however that all stopped when I heard the majority of them actually say that they were unabashedly iOS users and only really deal with Android when they need to do a review or report news. I've heard them be...

    wakelock problems

I actually had mediascanner issues on my GNex. There were two situations that was common with it. A corrupted photo file that kept triggering it, and a media player app that kept looking for all my audio files. Deleting files, and uninstalling / reinstalling apps, seemed to solve my problems.

    wakelock problems

Not weird at all, Android mediascanner can go nuts. It's a known problem that Google seems to slowly be fixing as the OS gets updated. Apps that deal with audio, video, or photo files, are usually the culprit.

    Stock vs 3rd Party Launcher

Like Optimus Prune said, the only way to actually edit the default android quick settings is via roms. However, there are apps that might be a good alternative for you. Mappz Quick Settings, or AntTek Quick Settings...

    another battery post

It was on for that long. I was running Google Maps Navigation driving to a destination. So in addition to GPS constantly running at that period, my screen was also left on during that time. Normally I would have my phone plugged in the charger when I use Navigation, but since it's normally such...

    another battery post

Since I don't have WiFi available for me at work, I have to rely a lot on 4G-LTE, which we all know eats up a lot of battery. When I got the Maxx, I worked it hard to see how long it could last without using WiFi for data, and also some time using GPS Navigation; which also eats up a lot of...

    Stock vs 3rd Party Launcher

I was determined to use the stock rom on the Maxx, but this was also something I wanted to be able to do. I've been a fan of Nova for quite a while now, so it wasn't hard for me to jump straight back to it.

    wakelock problems

If it's the problem I think it is, it could be that you may have an incomplete file (not fully downloaded or something like that) that is constantly triggering the android media scanner. It could also be a file that an app is trying to access, but can't complete the function, so it keeps...

    Developer Edition

OMG I just ordered the Droid Maxx Dev Edition. Thanks for the feedback guys, and yeah I'm convinced Verizon isn't getting a new Nexus this year as well. Don't make me feel regret Google Verizon!

    Developer Edition

You pretty much laid out my concerns. I want a new phone as I'm just tired of the GN's battery life, but the Maxx may be super slow with updates because of Verizon and I want to be able to at least get Kit Kat. I did root and flashed ROMs on my GNex, but I'm hoping that since the developer...

    Developer Edition

I'm fence sitting so much right now on the Droid Maxx. Should I get the developer edition now while it's in stock (as I write this), or should I play it safe and wait first for the official confirmation that Verizon is not going to get a new Nexus phone this year? There's that pesky Motorola...

Ordered a Verizon Galaxy Nexus, worked great until... ?

I had something somewhat similar happen to me... or maybe not, but here goes. Bought the Verizon Galaxy Nexus second hand from eBay. Checked with Verizon to see if the PRL is still valid. It is. While I was transferring all my personal files off my Thunderbolt into my PC's external hard drive...
